Hello r1 users! I ordered the r1 a few days ago, and i was wondering if the r1 can make a full text word or pdf out of an audio recording?

For now i dont think is possible, just the other way around. i. often record podcast or youtube short documentaries and i get the text transcript and a summery in journal. that i can access copy on my mac desktop.
pretty accurate most of the times, but if the connectivity is lost u lose all recording. sometimes its happens.

We are working on full transcriptions of audio files using Fireflies service! So when that lands, you’ll be able to export full transcriptions as a document.

u can do that from journal where you have your audio recording at the download section

thats a cool project, make sure you have battery of an external one if they are long, didnt test it yet how long it can record with a full charge. and make sure you have a secure connexion. at one little disconnection u might lose what was recorded till then. of perhaps still use your phone as a back up. better safe then sorry

I can’t believe it’s 2024 and whisper has been out for like 3 years and you still need a third party service to do audio transcription. Why not a small local STT model?
